Dr. Marks graduated from Churchill High School in 1978 and then attended the Pennsylvania State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in the marine sciences in 1982. His postgraduate Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and a one-year elective anesthesia course was completed at the University of Pittsburgh in 1987. Upon graduation from Dental School Dr. Marks entered a General Practice Residency in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh which he finished in 1988 prior to opening his office in Moon Township. He has been in private practice in the same location for 25 years and a native Pittsburgher for over 50!

Dr. Marks stays on the cutting edge of dentistry by attending both required and elective continuing education courses and belongs to several study groups where specific cases are reviewed and diagnosed with some of his peers. His concentration of study is mainly in implant and cosmetic procedures. He has completed training in Botox and Juvéderm for both therapeutic and esthetic facial treatments.

Dr. Marks and his staff are trained in CPR, use of a portable defibrillator, and emergency care. Dr. Marks is a long-time member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania and has joined the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
